Censors to Destroy Pornographic Movies Worth 10 Million

The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) is to destroy two million copies of pornographic and unwholesome movies valued at 10 million naira! This is contained in a statement signed by the Acting Head, Corporate Affairs of the board, Mr Caesar Kagho, in Abuja, Nigeria. It said that the unwholesome movies were sized within FCT and its environs between January and June 2014.

Woman Sets Ex Lover on Fire!

The police in Benin, the Edo State capital, southern Nigeria, have arrested and detained a 35-year-old woman, Esohe Ogbewei, for allegedly setting her ex-lover ablaze.
Esohe was said to have poured petrol on her victim whose name was given as Peter Osayi, before setting him ablaze. The severe burns the victim suffered led to his death.
It was reliably gathered from the Osayi family members that the deceased had a dispute with the suspect and she invited him for settlement.

Ebola Death in Guinea Hits 208!

At least 21 people died and 37 new cases of suspected Ebola were found between 29 May and 1 June, bringing the total number of cases in the West African country to 328. Of these, 193 have been confirmed by laboratory tests.There is no cure or vaccine for Ebola - one of the world's deadliest viruses. More than half of the new deaths were in the southern Guekedou region, where the outbreak is centred. Three confirmed and 10 suspected new cases were recorded in neighbouring Sierra Leone over the same period.

No fewer than 300 villagers have been killed in three communities around the troubled Gwoza local government area of Borno State on Monday as gunmen said to be Boko Haram agents but fully kitted in military uniform attacked them, eyewitnesses and security operatives said. Few villagers in Danjara, Agapalwa and Antagara who managed to escape the attack are now taking refuge in the rocky Gwoza hills, while others mostly women and children who were spared by the attackers have found their way into Cameroonian territory as refuges!

A welcoming party in the home town of a Bowe Bergdahl who was just freed from Afghan's captivity has been cancelled, amid suspicions that he deserted his post. Organisers said the event in Hailey, Idaho, was cancelled for safety reasons, because of a large increase in the number of expected attendants. Bowe Bergdahl was released on Saturday after five years in Taliban captivity. Several commentators and soldiers have branded him a deserter and called for him to be punished.

The residents of Gusau, the Zamfara State capital are in shock and disbelief following the discovery of arms and ammunition, including grenade in the residence of a lawmaker(names with held) in the state by security operatives. As the news of the scary discovery spread in Gusau and neigbouring Tsafe town, there was panic and tension asmotorists and residents struggled for safety, resulting in a gridlock. A source who pleaded anonymity, told Daily Sun that the raid on the lawmaker’s residence followed a tip-off.

Yes you read that right! West Midlands Police in the UK have released a recording of a woman who dialled 999 to request help in a dispute over the number of sprinkles on her ice cream!

The caller, who was not named by Police, contacted emergency operators while arguing with the owner of an ice cream van.

Chris brown Released from jail

Chris Brown was released early Monday from a Los Angeles County jail, authorities said. The singer had been in custody since mid-March, when he was arrested after being expelled from a court-ordered rehab sentence for violating its rules. A judge last month ordered the R&B singer to remain in jail after he admitted he violated his probation by getting into an altercation outside a hotel in Washington, D.C., last year.

A potential match fixer has been caught on film suggesting he could arrange a yellow card during a World Cup game for more than £41,000 and a penalty for £81,000.

Football agent Henry Chukwuma Okoroji was caught telling an undercover reporter that he could fix games and organise certain outcomes during the tournament which starts in Brazil later this month.

It comes just days after the National Crime Agency (NCA) investigated allegations that a friendly between Nigeria and Scotland had been targeted by criminal syndicates.
