Lady Gaga tweeted a YouTube video of the performance, showing her singing Cole Porter’s “Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye.”
Earlier, Bennett and Gaga were joined by moderator Lester Holt of NBC to talk about the Great American Songbook, jazz, and other subjects, Billboard reported. They also took questions from an audience of 700 students, Billboard reported.
The pair also performed an assortment of other songs – Bennett also performed “The Very Thought of You,” while the pair performed “I Can’t Give You Anything but Love” along with a cheek-to-cheek dance, Billboard reported.
Student choirs also performed Bennett’s “Smile” and Gaga’s “Applause” at the end of the event, the publication reported.
Bennett usually attends the graduation for the school every year, but is unable to attend this year and thus gave students a treat by appearing with Gaga, the publication reported.
Bennett and Gaga are currently working on a jazz album together that will be released later this year, the publication reported.
Students at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts have been treated to appearances and performances by several other celebrities.
