Starlet Nupur Mehta plans to file a '10 crore' defamation case against The Sunday Times, for featuring a blurred snapshot of her with a matchfixing report, thereby contaminating her name and image.
Her lawyer, Gaurang Kanth said "My client's picture was used without her permission, and even though it was morphed, it was easily identifiable. We are going to send them a legal notice, and if their response is not in tandem with what we want, we'll file a civil and criminal defamation suit." Nupur added, "I want monetary compensation plus a punishment code, and a denial in their paper."
